Experiences gained and Expertise shared
 
2008 was a fulfilling year. We did interesting and different type of work for a variety of companies across industries. Some of the key assignments worked on are -  
Part time Chief Financial Officer for an engineering company – 3 months. One of the key objectives was to understand the financials of a recently acquired Italian company and integrate its reporting.
For a Private Equity Fund was asked to 'Increase the Cash generated by the business' in one of their Investee companies.
For a Printing company to help 'Build an Organization'. This involved conducting a one to one employee survey, designing of company organization structure, preparing job descriptions, identifying gaps, recruitment of senior managers and introduction of HR systems. 
 
For an FMCG company did a Market Intelligence Study to benchmark terms of retail and wholesale trade with nine other FMCG companies.
With the help of an Associate conducted a 'Presentation Skills Course' for a leading real estate company.
Repatriate Orientation: comprehensive familiarization of the spouse with the city of Mumbai.
 
During the year we started a new service called 'Cross Cultural Training for Expatriates who come to work in India'. It helps an expat know business nuances, be sensitive to and aware of cross cultural issues/behavior, understand India in a social and cultural sense. The response is encouraging so far.
